Encuentros/Meetings
Catalyst Quartet’s trips to Cuba in 2019 and 2022 spawned Encuentros, a collaborative project with cellist Gabriel Cabezas featuring the newly commissioned work of innovative Cuban composer Jorge Amado Molina and other voices from across the Cuban diaspora.
The Bach/gould project
The Catalyst Quartet’s collaborative 4 voice arrangement of Bach’s monumental Goldberg Variations was inspired by Glenn Gould’s obsession with the work, and his own seminal String Quartet Op. 1.
